T. JARVA & THE DARK PLACE

Somewhere between the desolate backroads of alt-country and the shadows of folk noir lies T. Jarva & The Dark Place.

Built around Taneli Jarva’s unmistakable dark baritone and the haunting guitar work of Sami Hassinen, the project draws from the same nocturnal world as Townes Van Zandt, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Nick Cave and Mark Lanegan.

Following their 2024 debut Post Festum, the band released their second full-length The Light in 2026, pushing deeper into melancholy, stark Americana and cinematic darkness.
